Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
Initial Submission: Authors submit their manuscript to the journal electronically through an online submission system. Upon submission, the manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial office to ensure compliance with the journal's submission guidelines and scope.
Editorial Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors evaluate the manuscript to determine its suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's standards or scope may be rejected at this stage without external review.
Peer Review Assignment: If the manuscript passes the initial evaluation, it is assigned to at least two independent experts in the field for peer review. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, experience, and absence of conflicts of interest with the authors.
Peer Review Process: Reviewers critically evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide detailed comments, suggestions for improvement, and a recommendation for acceptance, revision, or rejection.
Author Response and Revision: Based on the reviewers' comments, authors have the opportunity to revise their manuscript and address any concerns raised by the reviewers. Authors are encouraged to provide a point-by-point response to each comment and justify their revisions.
Editorial Decision: The Associate Editor or Editor-in-Chief evaluates the revised manuscript, along with the reviewers' comments and authors' responses, to make an editorial decision. Possible decisions include acceptance, acceptance with minor revisions, acceptance with major revisions, or rejection.
Revision and Resubmission: If revisions are requested, authors revise the manuscript accordingly and provide a detailed response to the reviewers' comments. The revised manuscript may undergo additional rounds of peer review if necessary.
Final Decision and Publication: Once the manuscript is deemed acceptable by the editorial team, it is accepted for publication. The manuscript undergoes final formatting and proofreading before being published online or in print.
Post-Publication Review: After publication, the manuscript is subject to ongoing scrutiny by the scientific community. Readers may provide feedback, critique, or replication attempts, which contribute to the ongoing discourse and advancement of knowledge in the field.
Continuous Improvement: The editorial team regularly evaluates the peer review process to ensure its effectiveness, fairness, and transparency. Feedback from authors, reviewers, and readers is solicited to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in scholarly publishing.
