Publication Ethics
The Journals of Academic Edge Publishing (AEP) are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and employ various measures to prevent any form of publication misconduct. The Editorial Board, among its responsibilities, ensures the prevention of such malpractices. Any unethical conduct, especially plagiarism, is deemed unacceptable, and the Journal Review Committee (AEP) unequivocally opposes it. Authors submitting articles confirm the originality of their manuscript content. Additionally, by submitting their work, authors declare that their manuscript has not been previously published, either wholly or partially, in any language, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Editors, authors, and reviewers associated with the International Journal of Advances in Intelligent Informatics are expected to adhere to good publication practices and accept the responsibility of fulfilling the outlined duties and responsibilities., as set by the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. COPE has written guidelines on http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines, as part of the Core Practices.
Section I: Publication and Authorship
1- Each submitted paper undergoes a rigorous peer-review process conducted by a minimum of two international experts who specialize in the relevant field of the paper.
2- The review process follows a blind peer-review model.
3- The review criteria encompass aspects such as relevance, validity, significance, novelty, clarity, and language proficiency.
4- Possible outcomes of the review process include acceptance, acceptance with minor revisions, acceptance with major revisions, or rejection.
5- Authors receiving encouragement to revise and resubmit their work should note that acceptance of the revised submission is not guaranteed.
6- Articles that are rejected will not undergo another round of review.
7- The acceptance of a paper is contingent upon compliance with prevailing legal mandates concerning issues like defamation, copyright violation, and plagiarism.
8- It is impermissible for research to be published in multiple papers simultaneously.
Section II: Author's responsibilities
1- Authors are required to certify that their manuscripts are original works and have not been previously published elsewhere. They must also confirm that the manuscript is not under consideration for publication in any other venue.
2- Authors must actively participate in the peer-review process and are responsible for providing retractions or corrections when errors are identified. Every author listed on the paper must have made a significant contribution to the research.
3- It is essential for authors to affirm that all data presented in the paper are genuine and authentic. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the Editors. Additionally, authors must properly acknowledge all sources used in the creation of their manuscript. Finally, if any errors are discovered post-publication, authors must promptly report these to the Editors.
Section III: Reviewer's responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and treat submitted papers as privileged information. They should conduct reviews objectively, avoid personal criticism, and provide clear, well-supported feedback. Reviewers should identify any relevant work not cited by the authors and alert the Editor-in-Chief to any substantial similarities with other published papers. Additionally, reviewers should refrain from reviewing manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest related to the authors, companies, or institutions involved.
Section IV: Editor's responsibilities
Editors have full authority to accept or reject articles and are responsible for the content and quality of the publication. They should prioritize the needs of authors and readers, ensure the integrity of academic records, and publish corrections when necessary. Editors must understand the sources of research funding and make decisions based on the paper's importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the publication’s scope.
Editors should not reverse previous decisions without a serious reason and must maintain the anonymity of reviewers. They should ensure all published research adheres to ethical guidelines and only accept papers when confident in their validity. In cases of suspected misconduct, editors must act and seek resolution, requiring proof before rejecting papers. Additionally, editors must prevent conflicts of interest among staff, authors, reviewers, and board members.
Academic Edge Publishing will ensure that every published article will not exceed a 30% similarity Score.
